  • They are web worms, and can be pulled down or sprayed. A bag worm lives on a fir, pine or spruce tree. the worm creates a small 2 inch narrow sack made of "leaves" in which the worm is, the bag hangs from a twig. I used to be paid 1 penny a bag for picking them off our trees when I was small. What you are talking about has a bunch of little worms in them. Unlike the bag worm which has one. Sorry, more info than you need. Google the bag worm and you will see a picture of them.

  • Okay, then, do web worms affect crepe myrtles or Bradford pears?

  • I don't think so. We have had them in the past but not lately. Google web worm and it'll tell you more that you need to know.

  • Hi Anne!  I just wanted to say how much I appreciated and enjoyed your little exchange over at Green Baggins.  You are quite a lady to take on such linguistic gymnastics as the FV people throw out!

Really, I do admire the way you were able to debate--tenacious yet gracious, humble and humorous!  I loved it!  Wish we lived closer--you are my kinda girl.

Hope you don't mind if I come back to visit sometime!

    Nikki

  • Let's see. Nikki comes and says very nice things about me.

You're welcome to visit as much as you want, m'dear.

Thanks ever so, Nikki. You're too kind. ;^)
