  • Don is going to stay behind to take Dmitry to school, while I'm going
to try to be at the MEPS office in Dallas about 8 a.m.  He'll
follow, trying to be there by 9.

Aaron has already called to arrange to collect the computer.

And so the waters gently close over Charles' head, and he hasn't even left the Metroplex yet.

  • Sniff, Sniff.....He'll be missed!

  • The waters close gently over his head -- an apt metaphor for an aspiring Bubblehead!

  • OK Jane, maybe, but Anne dear, don't think of this like the Titanic.  He's not drowning, and the water's not sucking him under, obscuring your viiew of and contact with him forever!

Think of this like a 12 step program -- one day at a time, and you've only got 6 weeks to go!   Why, he'll be eating Mexican Munchies and Deep Sea Dandies under your roof again in no time.  Keep those Mom & Ivy-party skills honed and ready to go!

  • OK, I just noticed the smiley after your last sentence.  Maybe I'm reading too much into your comments.  Forgive me if I am.

  • I read too much also!! Waters closed quietly over his head, indeed!!!!! Hummph! He's off on an adventure! Opening doors to new experiences, new friends, new places, new skills! Beginning his future! Not sitting and playing games, complaining and drinking beer. Think positive!!!!! Positive thinking is where it's at!!  Where did I go wrong? I tried to encourage youall to make lemonade out of lemons. Says she with too many old adages and such. Oh well, when one is nearly 78 , one is entitled! Mom of Anne and Grandmom of  Charles.
