Is it crepe myrtle or crape myrtle? I saw these in N Africa, and boy are they lovely; I'd never seen one in bloom at least....just a refreshing cool lavender, looking like a cloud. Is that the color you have? Are they tall there?
I've always spelt it "crepe" but I might be wrong. Ours is a deep pink; they come in several colors, and the lavender's one of my favorites. Depending on the variety, yes, they can get quite tall. Others are simply bloomin' bushes.
The ones I saw were as big as mature trees! Couldn't believe my eyes! And the yucca was too...unbelievable!
