  • Now that's a nice house Kirstin and Matt are getting!

A bilevel backyard with oak trees . . . how cool is that?

The woodwork in the house is gorgeous.

The closets are marvelous!  Loads of storage space.

The kitchen is very similar to the one they have now.  There's a breakfast area to the left, as well.

Taking photos of interiors is difficult, but here's the living room from the stair landing.

This is looking down on the den, with the breakfast area and kitchen to the right.

And there is the breakfast area and kitchen, as seen from above.

From the den, looking toward the front of the house . . . Dmitry was goofing around, playing with the spring-type doorstop.

Granddaddy got to see Bryson, which was a real plus.  ;^)

  • That's a lovely home! I hope they'll be very happy in it.

    :)

    And Bryson's sure a cutey.

    me<><

  • With that hair he bears an uncanny resemblance to a rooster.

  • Spring type door stops were simply *made* to be played with. Ask any boy!

  • Oh WOW!  The house is gorgeous, but that  yard...!  It's wonderful.  Can't you just see a veggie garden here, a play area there, paths edged with flowers for cutting... *sigh*

  • I'm coveting that closet...have to share one with Rich, and it's decidedly crowded.  But maybe I should be thankful that he has more than two jackets to wear, which was par even for professors in the 1930's, and that I can sew. And maybe I should stop sewing for myself. Trouble is, I keep getting sweaters for gifts.

  • That closet goes way over to the left, and there are some additional built-in shelves as well.

Don and I have separate closets, but he's got the "walk-in" (these days it would hardly qualify as such) while I have the small, traditional-size closet.

They're both packed to the gills with an accumulation of stuff over 25+ years.

  • That is a beautiful house!! You can never have too many closets (in my opinion) and a decent sized kitchen that's not isolated off to itself is always a plus...

And I agree, that Bryson is just a little dolly. (and I love his hair!)

  • Wonderful house!  And they'll soon make it a home.  I hope they have many happy years there.

  • Have they sold their house? When do they move??? Where is this house??? Are there kids near by. Let's hear some important info!! G'mom

  • Well, not yet. Their new realtor is working hard, though, and if they have to, they can manage to pay both mortgages for a few months. They don't think it'll be necessary, though, as the house is being shown often and a couple came for a second showing on Saturday.

The closing is May 27th, so they'll be moving the weekend of the party and Charles' graduation. She sent an acceptance email to the party, however! They'll be there.

It's in the Villages of Woodland Springs in Keller. Go up I-35, get off at Golden Triangle, and it's a few minutes to the east. Not difficult, and cuts 25 minutes off Matt's commute.

Yes, there are kids, and Kirstin has friends living in that subdivision already. There's a nifty pool for the residents' use, and a playground, so doubtless they'll meet other kids there.

  • I guess it's an ok house....but it looks a little...oh, I don't know....it looks empty somehow.

  • I finally got around to viewing your blog to see the house. It's pretty! I'm glad they'll be closer to Matt's work. Hope they sell their house soon and I'm so glad they got rid of that other realtor!
