  • In a sea of ho-hum National Day to Recognize This, That, and T'Other, I'm pleased to find a day that makes sense.

    National Pie Day.

Yup, this very Sunday, the 23d of January, is National Pie Day.

    You know what to do.

  • I love pie, I think I'll write National Pie Day on my calendar. I think we'll celebrate National Pie Day, it's the least we can do. Yessiree, it could easily be one of my family's favorite holidays. Thanks for mentioning it.

  • No, that's not right! National Pi day is March 14! It has to be!! They really celebrated in 1593!

  • [happpily] Homemade Chicken Pot Pie for dinner, followed by homemade cherry pie!

Wait. Make that lemon meringue pie.

    No. Hold it. Pecan pie.

    Oooh, but what about....?

  • Just remember Moosie, without Pi there is no pie.

  • And they're square, right?

  • Ah, scientific humor!

    Often attempted...rarely attained.

    Hehehehe.  >:^>

  • That's because in this case, it's mathematical humor, dearie.

  • Math is a subset of science, I do believe.

And how'd you get the emoticon in there???

  • For us, (Which Kelly should appreciate) it's to be Mossflower Wedge. Mmmm. and cherry pie, since that's Jim's fave. And I can make both today, pop em in oven after church tomorrow, for a Pie Feast in the evening!

thanks for the heads up, Anne.

  • semicolon dash right parenthesis

    colon dash right parenthesis

    colon dash left parenthesis

I just discovered them by typing emoticons into Xanga with punctuation, the way I normally do them in places where they don't magically convert, and they appeared. I'm sure there are more but I don't know how to create them.

  • You can't even believe how frustrating this is, Jane. >:^(

That I'm not the one who discovered this trick, but someone who DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A BLOG!!!

There's no justice in the world, and that's a fact.
