November 7, 2007
-
It's November 7th.
The 7th of November. 11-7-2007. Or, if one writes it in the European manner, 7-11-2007.
Yet what did my disbelieving, appalled ears hear on the way home from collecting Dmitry from school?
Radio station 103.7 has gone all-Christmas. "Merry Christmas!" it had the unmitigated gall to chirp before segueing into Bing Crosby's "White Christmas."

No way
You are serious? On November SEVENTH???? gag puke please. Come ON.
I regret to say it's all too true, Aisling.
Deplorable, that's what it is. Deplorable.
That most assuredly gives you the right to CHANGE STATIONS.
Well, I listen to several stations....a real station-hopper, that's me. Hate listening to chatter or ads, so station-surf to try to find a song I want to listen to.
BTW, this is in the car only. Never listen to the radio anywhere else.
Yeah, I just hate to listen to ads or chatter on the radio - only music, and if there isn't any of that, I'd rather have silence. But there isn't anything like golden oldies to keep you awake when you're trying to drive long distances! Sing, sing, sing!
i'm a station hopper too.
You've got to be kidding. Please tell me you're kidding. I don't listen to the radio much, just for traffic and school closings. Every now and again I'll listen to the radio when I'm driving. But truthfully? There is so much noise in my life that often when I'm driving I'm either listening to the kids, or if I'm alone I just listen to the hum of the car!
I wish I could tell you I'm kidding, but alas, I am not.
Don knew it already because that's the station one of his co-workers listens to. He'd wondered at hearing Christmas music today. ;^)
Ha! Got you beat. Ours started on November 5, and contrary to you and your e-friends, we love it. (ez88.org) AAMOF, we woke up at 5:55 on 11/5 to hear them play the first song (It's Beginning to Look a Lot like Christmas) and make the 2 month format change. I'm sitting here now loading our Christmas CDs onto I-tunes so we can load up the Ipods for the holiday season. Love it. Love it. Love it!
You're strange, Brad. Strange. =8^o
What took them so long? Our Wal*Mart starts playing Christmas music in August.
