  • Gee, thanks, Anne. Helpful message!

Something tells me you didn't send what you thought you were sending.

Hope the trip went well, and that Beth is doing better than can be expected. Slobber all over those beautiful children and grandchildren!

  • Darn it, the last time I sent a photo to Xanga via cellphone, it worked.  Oh well.

What it was, was a photo of the long line at the gate, which I instinctively joined.  If there's a line of passengers holding boarding passes, then maybe I'm supposed to be in it, right?  So I took my place at the end of the queue, wondering what it could be for.  I've checked in.  I've got my boarding pass.

Hmmmm.  Asked the Japanese-looking man ahead of me what the line was for, exactly, only he smiled and replied, "I am sorry.  I do not speak English!"  Ah!  Never mind.  Then I asked the two men who came up behind me.  Once we established we all had boarding passes, we boldly decided we didn't need to be in the line, and bravely left it.  Worked fine!  Those must have been standbys, or people wanting their seat assignment changed or something of the sort.

It's funny how darned hard it is to NOT join a line, however.
