Alex sent this photo of him and another sailor, apparently riding in a van and saluting a stuffed duck.
Actually, Alex, is that a proper salute? I'd have thought both eyes were supposed to be visible, but your hand's covering one of 'em. 
Of course, it IS a stuffed duck.

Ok ok...Bob is in my way. The duck is Quackers, and he is in command. Actually, he is our bandmaster's daughter's stuffed duck. It's a really good idea. That is her favorite stuffed animal, and Mr. Cline is taking it wherever we go, and he takes photos of the people and her toy. Pretty cool.
It's reassuring to all Americans to know that the duck is in command. And that he has the respect of his troops.
