  • What with the storms bumbling around the area today, we just stayed home for the Fourth.  The van's still in the garage, even.

    But that's okay.  Made chocolate ice cream and tacos for dinner.  ;^)

    This evening Dmitry and Taylor took a couple of packages of those snap things out to the back porch to set them off:

    No matter how I tried, I could NOT get the flash to show up.  Darn camera.  Tried to use manual settings to take photos of tonight's
    fireworks, but it was a dismal failure.  Can't think what went wrong!  I followed the instructions, best I can figure out.  After three pictures I went back to Auto without the flash:

  • The pictures look great! I just love to watch them, but didn't get to this year. All the packing and stuff, we were just too pooped to go out. Of course, we did hear the usual yahoos in the neighborhood popping their whatevers. Heard a siren not too much later, so maybe they got ticketed. Oh well. Yum for tacos!!! You just helped me decide what to have for dinner tomorrow! Thank ya kindly!!! Hugs..Tim

  • So those yahoos aren't restricted to my neighborhood, eh? At some points it was almost unnerving, the sound of firecrackers, etc. going off around us. >:^(

    Hope the move goes as smoothly as possible. ;^)
