  • Whoever it was that covered the E3 convention out in LA certainly has a unique way of viewing video games.  The "prettiest" games, by his reckoning were Army of Two, Assassin's Creed, Gears of War, and Mass Effect.  Somehow, I dunno, "pretty" isn't an adjective that leaps to mind when I hear of a game called "Assassin's Creed".

  • I'm not sure, but I think pretty is a term of art used by gamers to describe graphical quality. I think I've seen it before. I think it means "beautifully designed appearance, that may or may not promote good game play." I think I often see it used to say "the graphics are pretty, but they don't really add to the game play" or something like that. It does sound incongruous applied to those mayhem-type games though, doesn't it?

  • Very incongruous indeed!
