Drat. It's not that I particularly want it to be bitterly cold, but I really hate it when it's 70° on Christmas Eve and Christmas day, which is the current forecast.
Iffen I wanted 70° on Christmas day I'd move to Florida or southern California or somewhere like that. I'm not unrealistic enough to expect a white Christmas, but it's nice when it's at least chilly enough to warrant a fire in the fireplace.

2 degrees out this AM. We had a fire in the fireplace yesterday, and roasted marshmallows over it. But I'm not sure I can go out to run in this today!
Girl, you live in TEXAS. Big. Hot. Pseudo-desert like conditions. It's Texas, for Pete's sake. Surely you know the rest of us, when we think of generally hot places, after we think of Southern California and Florida put Texas on that same list!
Merry (whew) Christmas, Anne!
I live in north central Texas, which is completely different from the western, desert region.
[loftily] Of course, those from smallish states with pretty much one climate wouldn't understand about big states like Texas.
Hehehehe. >:^>
Merry Christmas back atcha, Plummy. ;^)
1degree when I got up this morning here in Ohio. I was raised in the SF area and it would be about 40 or 50 at Christmas. I wouldn't mind so much, but need to go out to take my pop to the doctor. And we heat with wood, so it's nice and toasty inside.
So am I to take it that you haven't moved to Michigan yet, Anne? I TRY to help people but they just won't listen. (Sigh.) No danger of it being 70 on Christmas Eve here.
I would be all happy about the warm weather on Christmas, but I'm gonna be in Maryland, so I'll probably still be cold.
I'm quite happy to hear it will be a bit balmy here on Christmas. Meredith is getting a scooter, so it will be nice to be outside with her while she rides it.
And I agree with Plum...only people that live in Texas expect a Christmas in Texas to be cold. Those outside of Texas assume Texans have a warm Christmas. It's TEXAS.
Our (high) forcast for Christmas day is....52!! We'll be breaking out the t-shirts and shorts!!
I put Texas in the same weather catagory as California, except California has the Sierras, and Yosmite and many many places with snow and cold weather.
Happy Christmas!
