  • Oh my.  Now here's a bit of news worthy of being included as one of CNN.com's headlines:  New James Bond a blond

Stay tuned for developments as they occur!

It's appalling how shallow we are as a nation, that the hair color of
some actor chosen to play a fictitious character is regarded as "news."

  • Oh boy, I was on the edge of my seat while they were trying to decide who should play the next James Bond (yup, I sure was, especially since I neither knew or cared about a new Bond movie). Such important news to be sure!! Besides wasn't whatshisname that was one of the first Bond guys, not Sean Connery but the other guy, light haired? (can you tell I'm just a rabid fan of the whole James Bond thingy?)

  • It is just not right. There have been 4 other Bonds that I know of: Connery; George Lazenby (who was only in one dismal film); Roger Moore; and Pierce Brosnan. My favs are Connery and Brosnan. Moore just didn't have as much of that dapper quality despite his high number of films and Lazenby just wasn't good at all.

I'm disappointed that Brosnan isn't going to be Bond anymore. I wish I had heard of this other guy before.

  • Oops ... the just not right is in regards to the blond bond. Bond has brown hair. Everyone knows that.

  • I thought there was someone before Sean Connery, who only made one film - wasn't there a Bond movie before Dr. No?  Maybe I'm confused.

  • Oh, and Timothy Dalton was in at least one between Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan.

  • I forgot Dalton. I try to block him out. He was in two and clearly the worst Bond ever.

This site shows the order of production of the films and calls the "Casino Royale" made for TV "non-canonical" and it is the only one prior to the major films (of course they also call "Never Say Never Again" is non-canonical). I think a "new" (real) Casino Royale is the next one to be filmed.

  • The pic opf the new guy makes him look ALOT like Richard Harris.
