Okay, last time this year, I promise.

View From The Porch:
This last one isn't especially awe-inspiring, but it pleased me quite a
bit. I'd been trying to get these circles for the past few nights.BTW, the Night Portrait setting worked fine; look at this one taken of Don as he waited for the fireworks to begin:
He complained about being blinded by the flash but it was all his own fault . . . I was attempting to get a picture of him looking off into the distance, but he suddenly looked at me instead.

Hope everyone had a spiffy Fourth!

Ours was especially spiffy. After volleyball with the neighbors (a fun game, since some of us hadn't played in nearly 30 years) with an ending score of ninety eleven, and eighty-fourteen) we had bar-b-que, then we (my family part of the party anyway) left and headed up to the lake (such that it is) and watched a fabulous show. I thought of you and your wonderful pictures as we fought with the camera (it won). Your pictures came out great!
I'm quite impressed with the pictures too! I didn't see any fireworks, only heard them. It's amazing how LOUD they are. Can't wait to see the CD!
I'm so jealous of your view from your porch!!! I have got to seek out a good firework watching spot next year. That is one of my favorite things and we seem to miss it a lot in Texas.
Y'all are welcome to share our porch next time, m'dear.
There are steps to sit on, too, if you're so inclined. Lots of room!
