Well, that didn't take long.

Charles's car is at a body shop.
He was in a minor freeway accident earlier today, and thank God no one
was hurt. His Buick Skylark tangled with a Suburban.I would say the Suburban "won" but that doesn't seem an appropriate
term, since it's our insurance company that will pay for its scars.Raise the driving age to 27, that's what I say.

I think it should be higher for sure. I didn't get my license until 24 & I haven't been in one accident or well, anything. Although I don't want to replace my carseats either, so I'm real carefull
My Colin (who turns 18 tomorrow) got his license about a year ago. He lives in Southern California where the freeways are...well....nasty (don't know how they compare to your freeways) and so far (I'm knocking on wood here) he's not had an accident (that I know of). I agree with raising the driving age, and I believe that here they have done just that. I'm not sure to what, but I know it's not 16 any longer. Glad he's okay!!
Only Kirstin got a license at 16, but she had a couple of accidents, so that put paid to that for the other kids. Generally they're 18 and even 19 before getting one.
Dmitry's already been warned he won't be allowed to drive until he's 18 at the earliest.
Do you know, it crossed my mind that while I've hit and been hit, I've never had a freeway accident. That must have fritzed Charles out tremendously! Scary stuff.
And happy birthday to Colin!
