Dmitry has fallen head-over-heels into the world of MMORPGs (Massive
Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games, for the uninitiated), starting
AdventureQuest yesterday. He had to select his character's name,
so told me "Lawton." (My father's name.)I paused and looked at him. "Lawton?"
He became slightly defensive. "What? It's a cool name. I like it."
Okay. "'Lawton' it is," I agreed, and obediently typed it in.
It's not that it's not a "cool" name, but it is a bit unusual for a fantasy-world setting.

LOL! That is awesome! Tell him he has very unique taste, a refreshing thing in role playing games.
I love the name Lawton. Have wanted to name a boy Lawton in fact if I ever have one. Good choice Dima!
Has he ever heard of RuneScape? that's the game my kids love to play. In FACT...Katie is picking up her reading skills big time, playing that game. RuneScape.
Oh yes, Heidi, he plays RuneScape! That was his first introduction to the genre, in fact. He'd run into a friend from school online occasionally and be greeted, which tickled him.
He's Den880 (he doesn't quite seem to get the hang of names for these games, does he?) there, BTW, in case she ever "sees" him online.
