A day of drama of varying kinds, that's what today has been, and no mistake.
First we had the pleasure of the company of our daughter, Kirstin's,
three children, as shown below. Then shortly afterward here came
Alex, Beth and Hannah, in from a fast stopover in Millington, TN, where
Alex is to report for duty on the 27th. What a fabulous time
seeing them, and watching other family members get a gander at Hannah
for the first time.Uncle Dmitry is getting to be an old hand at holding babies.
Great-granddaddy is obviously taken with the newest poppet.
Hannah with her mama, her Gran, and her greatmother Gigi.
I loved this one of Beth and Hannah sharing a moment. ;^)
A bit after these pictures were taken we were off to see Brianna's
formal dance recital, where Hannah met even more family members (no,
Hannah, they never stop coming....get used to it).Aunt Jessica, Brianna's mother, had a fit over her new niece.
We were waiting for Brianna with flowers, and whiled away the time admiring You Know Who.
At last The Star appeared! She could open a flower shop with the blooms given to her.
The cousins head off together, hand in hand.
If only Dmitry had come I'd have had all my chicks there!
Still, it was delightful having the five "Texas-born" together. Even if some things that one think would change, never do.
It was a good day.

Anne, you have the most beautiful family, the babies, the grown-ups...all of them. You are truly blessed.
Thank you, Cheri! I am blessed indeed.
Brianna's hair is amazing. How do you get a child that age to sit still for such a "do"? Wow! All for her art?
Not sure I'd put up with having it done, that's for sure.

Jessica says it was ten bucks at CoolCuts, which specializes in children's haircuts. Videos are provided to keep the tots amused while the work is done.
See, here's the deal. Waaaaaay out here in Po-Dunk, we don't got no beeeeYEWty saylons that specialize in...anything.
They just are!
Amazing. Life's just AMAZING when you leave Podunk.

My kids were in this show! They were in the red, white, blue outfits that danced to the train song.....
And, um, per your blog above regarding the show.....this is be our LAST YEAR doing our dance lessons at the rec center. It was heartbreaking to me, really. So much of it was not appropriate. I have found a dance academy in bedford that is owned by a Christian lady. If you daughter is interested I can pass along the info!
Clickety Clack? That was a cute number!
How amazing your kids were in the same show as Brianna...I just wish I'd known it. Would have taken a picture of them, too.
And I'm sure Jessica, and very possibly Kirstin, would be interested in the dance academy you refer to. Thanks ever so! I'll look forward to getting the info.
