Dmitry tends to get tripped up by the vernacular of others. As I was driving him home from school this afternoon he told me of a girl who kept saying "Yo' mama!" to him.
He told me he finally, in exasperation, asked her, "What about my mama?"
Did you tell him there are endless "Yo mama" jokes?
Perhaps not. That might confuse him even further!
I admire Dmitry a great deal. I can't imagine what it's been like to learn a new language and a new culture, AND a new family!
