ARGH!!!
For days the VolcanoCam wasn't working. Was stuck on the image for about 3:43 pm on the 4th. They finally noticed and put a notice up about it.
Yesterday I forgot to check it.
And naturally, yesterday afternoon is when there was something to see! A huge plume of ash, rising over 30K feet!

Now the volcano's back to a dainty stream of steam.
You cannot imagine the depth and breadth of my frustration over this. Been monitoring the darn thing for months now.

Like the time I finally saw not just one, but two buds on the night-blooming cereus I'd tended for years. I was soooo looking forward to see that thing bloom! And what happened? A rat with a furry tail, otherwise known as a squirrel, chewed off the buds! I used to like squirrels....
