Well, how long has this been going on? "This" being Freecycle.org, where instead of having unneeded stuff taking up space in our landfills, one posts it and gives it away to whoever is willing to come fetch it. There's one for Fort Worth, and I've got some stuff needing to be removed from the back porch, where it seems to have taken up permanent residence after Dmitry's adoption. (His room was used as a storeroom for several years.)
Okay, I took photos of the rolltop desk (received when I was, what, 15 years old or so, Mom?) and posted it as an OFFER. Also sent an email to someone about a Fisher Price dollhouse. We'll see!

We got rid of a highchair when we moved last May, and gained a play kitchen which my boys reallly wanted. I also responded to someones request for toddler toys and got rid of some the kids no longer played with.
Boy, this is gonna be great! I just feel it.
Wow! It's taken already!
First one woman emailed me, saying she'd always wanted one, so I replied saying it's hers, then a man emailed about it.
Had to turn him down. Felt bad about that.
You've got me curious. I signed up for our freecycle. My membership is pending. I hope I haven't been blacklisted or anything bad like that!
No, you have to include your zip code somewhere, I daresay. Look at the email you received saying it's pending. I let it sit there, unexamined, for awhile, wondering why I wasn't being approved, then finally read it and saw the instruction to reply to it with my zip code.
Two other people, besides the two mentioned above, wanted the desk, BTW.
Didn't get the dollhouse, though. Someone else had bagged it. C'est la vie!
