go rent waitress, there is pie in that. beautiful movie.
and i agree, chocolate first
Tell us more about this Russian vegetable pie. I’m thinkin’ I might want to skip that altogether.
Go chocolate!
We’re having homemade chicken noodle soup. Didn’t know about pie day. Maybe Faron can pick up some kind of pie after work. I wouldn’t want to miss out!

It’s a cream cheese crust with a layer of softened cream cheese, a layer of sliced hardcooked eggs, a layer of sauteed onion and cabbage, and a layer of sauteed mushrooms. Herbs used are dill, marjoram, tarragon, and basil.
I’m expecting it to be right tasty, not to mention rich.
Hmmmm….maybe I had best eat the chocolate pie first!
That Russian pie 1. sounds delicious and 2. would be disdained by too many members of my family to make it worthwhile. Pity!
It does sound good – skinny pieces though.
Let us know!

I saw gluten-free pie shells at Whole Foods & didn’t buy them
No kidding! In the frozen food section, perhaps? Elaine, have you tried them?
That’d make baking g/f pies easier for holidays, if those you saw are decent, as it’d spare Elaine from always having to make ‘em for me.
