  • They’re HOME!!!

“They” being Beth, Hannah and Faith, who arrived this afternoon after an eleven hour flight from Tokyo.  Dmitry and I drove up to Keller to collect Bridgette from Kirstin then headed to the airport, where Don and Anna, Beth’s mother, were waiting.

It took a while, but at long last….the doors opened and there they were.

Wish I looked that good after a nonstop flight from Tokyo.  Of course, babies were exchanged as Don got to meet his youngest granddaughter for the first time, while Beth eagerly reached for her new niece:

Hannah was also pleased to make Miss Bridgette’s acquaintance:

We left the airport and drove to Anna’s apartment, to have dinner and visit.  Here’s a photo I’ve waited three months to take!

    And with both his sweethearts:

    And me with them, too:

As Beth said, “Granny heaven!”  ;^)

Here’s Beth holding Faith while talking to Alex, who was already missing his girls:

In the big bag up there was the first gift for Faith from Nana; Faith’s Uncle Dmitry took charge of assembling it:

    Faith appreciated her uncle’s efforts:

Of course Hannah got something too!  A Dora the Explorer inflatable bed for her to use while here:

It was a lovely, lovely evening, spending time with our dear ones.  If only our Alex had been there!  Not too long, though, and he will be with us, too.

  • Oh how sweet! Have a wonderful Christmas!

  • Those two little cousins look very much alike! And all three of the travelers look amazingly good, after their grueling flight – especially mamma, for whom it was the most grueling! Hope you’re all having a great time!

  • I DO HOPE that I can take pictures like THAT someday! Green with envy! What an abundance of blessing!

  • Wonderful pictures!   You are truly blessed.

  • No argument here, ladies!

  • Oh how wonderful!  What a huge blessing for all of you!

Anne,  I love your periwinkle dress — you look marvelous, dahling, simply marvelous.

  • One simply has to cherish a woman who recognizes periwinkle when she sees it.

  • LOL! Love the periwinkle comments. Is it rude for me to mention, Anne, that I believe I have that exact dress? I also have it in a true purple.

Your granddaughters look wonderful in both their grandparents’ arms! I’m so glad Beth and the girls arrived safely and in such good humor! Amazing.

    Hugs, dear!

  • Of course it would not be rude.

Imitation, after all, is the sincerest form of flattery!

    j/k! >;^>

Hey, it’s comfortable, washes well, doesn’t wrinkle…and comes in purple and periwinkle. What more could one ask for, eh?

  • Not that this is AT ALL what’s going on here, but this reminds me of a funny (in a wicked sort of way) story I heard about a mother of the bride and mother of the groom who were experience an extreme level of animosity for some reason.  The bride’s mother found ONE dress she absoluetly adored and bought it for the wedding, but when the groom’s mother saw it she decided that that was just what she wanted to wear to the wedding, so she went out and bought one herself, and  then she had the gall to tell the mother of the bride what she was planning on wearing and said that the bride’s mother would just have to go buy herself a new dress.

Well, the bride’s mother simply conceded and bought herself a new dress, and this was only a few days before the wedding.  When the bride found out about it, she told her mother how awful she felt over it and said that it was just terrible that her mother wouldn’t be able to wear the dress to the wedding.

The mother said, “Don’t worry about it at all.  I’ll get to wear the dress…

“I’m going to wear it to the rehearsal dinner.”

  • Oooooh Kelly, that is wicked!

  • Ah, that’s one smart woman. After all, she bought the dress first!

  • Did you see a similar story on Blog and Mablog (this one was fiction) about the girl who bought the exact dress her roommate was going to wear to homecoming and wore it to a party THE NIGHT BEFORE? It was just a story, but someone might just do that.

Lovely pictures, of lovely girls (and guys), Anne!
