Well, doesn’t this just smoke my bacon?
I bought my youngest granddaughters Easter dresses last week, and they’re both sleeveless. Pretty much have to be, actually, as that’s all that’s available around here. Normally Easter in April in Texas is warm, even up to 90°.
The weather forecast for Easter?
Cloudy and in the low 50′s.

Went out this morning and bought sweaters to go along with the dresses.

The low Saturday night is expected to be not too far off of freezing, which should make for peppy early-morning egg-hunting, I’d think.

Same problem here! I found a really cute dress at the thrift shop for Shayna months ago…it is white polished cotton with cherries all over it and has red crinolines peeking out under the hem! Spaghetti Straps! I bought a pattern and some red cotton to make a bolero jacket for modesty’s sake, but realize that the little sleeves are going to do nothing! So, she’ll wear her white cardigan over it! Oh well, the bolero jacket will be great with it when it DOES warm up.
Could be worse though….I daresay there are areas that have snow-covered Easters, and think how depressing that must be.
It’d still be a help if the buyers at these stores wouldn’t behave like lemmings, or march in lockstep, whichever analogy you prefer. It’s silly that there is nothing available with sleeves!
How about snow flurries on Easter? How about a high of 36 on Easter? Both appear to be in store for us.
Tell those kids to hunt f-a-s-t.
We’re getting snow flurries all weekend. Looks like we might have to pull out the Christmas dresses (as I mentioned elsewhere.
(Cindy knows where.)
BION, there’s a possibility of flurries here tomorrow. =8^o
Don’t expect to see them, of course, but with a strong cold front bringing a high of 40°, one never knows.
Kirstin says the egg hunt for the kids at the family Easter party at her house will be an indoor hunt.
It’s flurrying in Knoxville right now. Easter Sunday morning is supposed to be 20° when we wake up.
