Do y'all recall late last spring or maybe it was early summer when parts of an airplane suddenly showed up at a defunct gas station? I mean, "suddenly" as in it wasn't there when I drove to SuperTarget but was when I returned? Then it sat for awhile before vanishing, only to reappear?
Okay, y'all mightn't know about that last, for I'm not sure it was mentioned here. Anyway, it did and it did.
Over the past week or two there's been a couple of people seen working on it, and this morning as I headed to - where else? - SuperTarget, voila!...

have you heard from Charles since Friday afternoon?????
Not yet. I'll call him in a little while.
I don't see no airplane parts. Where?
The airplane's been put together and is up on a pole....see it now?
It's blue.
golly I'm glad you pointed that out, I was just looking at the street wondering why that was causing you such surprise! ~K.
Oh. Yes. I see it now. Not a real airplane.
No, it's a REAL airplane. That's what's been so interesting about it. It used to be down on the ground there, and it was clear it's a real airplane, in several pieces. Saw them welding it back together a week or so ago.
Pretty small, then. Maybe it will be a WWII airmen's club?
I was RIGHT! It was intended to be used as an advertising gimmick for whatever is going into that building.
I'm glad that's here in pixels for all to see. Proof that I was right can be a very handy commodity when dealing with a 15 year old.
We were out near there today (Botanical Gardens & Musuem) so I took a peek. Huh. Maybe a hobby store ?! Who knows. The building seems too small to be a musuem of any type. hmmm. . .
