Yesterday was an Important Anniversary, indeed! It marked the end of Joe, Zhenya, and Reagan’s first year at home. To celebrate this auspicious occasion family and friends gathered at Tony’s restaurant:
Bill had hurt his foot the previous evening so was on crutches, which fascinated Lucas; the other Bill helped him try one out:
After dinner some of us repaired to the Waybourns’ home to have cake and cupcakes. Can’t believe it’s been a year since these guys arrived at one o’clock in the morning!
Congrats to Zhenya, BTW, for scoring a 100 on his science project yesterday, not to mention a 100 on presentation in his speech class.
And that Joe is such a darling! Last night he escorted me out to my car (Dmitry stayed to spend the night, and Don had gone home after dinner, as he’d come straight from the office), gallantly opened the door for me, kindly advised me to drive carefully, then shut it again.
