[bitterly] Easy Sew my left FOOT.
Bought a couple of patterns with the intention of making Hannah a
little outfit from cloth with bluebonnets and Texas flags on it.Don’t want her to forget her roots.

Butterick claims this is an “Easy Sew” pattern, but I can’t even figure
out how to lay the pieces out to cut them! What’s said one place
doesn’t match the provided illustration, and so on. Very
irritating indeed. And I need fusible interface.
That sounds bad, doesn’t it?
Something tells me this project isn’t going to be ready by the time we leave for Norfolk on Saturday.

I would say to e-mail the outfit to me, and I’ll get it ready for you, but I don’t think that will work. Fusible interfacing is not a disease, but a very fine white fabric that you iron on the back of the fabric you’re using to make it stiffer, as in waistbands, collars and cuffs, etc. One big drawback to cyber-friends is the inability to reach through the screen and actually give a helping hand. Any specific questions, though – fire away, and oh, by the way, this is Mommy Moose, not Moosie
Hi, Mommy Moose! I’m glad you explained for it was really sorta fritzing me out. I knew Moosie is talented in many areas, but sewing….?
I went back to the fabric store and purchased the interface.
We’ll see. That’s all I can say. We’ll see.
Between the two of us, we know everything.
Mommy Moose and Me.
I’ve been trying to figure out a handbag, for goodness’ sake, and couldn’t. Finally ended up chucking the directions and doing it my own way– the pictures were too confusing. That’s depressing. It doesn’t help when they put Spanish directions alongside the English. Grrr….why can’t they make patterns in English OR in Spanish???
They tend to make the piece with the fusible interfacing look the same, pre and post application. DUMB!
I hope it DOES come together in time, though Anne – sounds adorable.
And you’ll get it, I know you will! Rah, rah, sis boom bah!
me<><
PS THat “moosie” post was freakin’ me out too. My eyes kept gettin’ wider and wider, and I was grinnin’ bigger and bigger, thinkin’ “Wow, MOOSIE!”
Byron, you may have put that one over on the Calves, but the rest of us ain’t buying.
He sure did shock me!
